These were originally facetious nicknames coined by her friends, but kind of stuck until they became official. Occasionally, these two nicknames are run together to form "Bone Angel" / "Hone no Tenshi" [骨の天使].

* Only person who seems to be able to consistently beat Michiko Yamada. That she has a blind spot (no pun intended) with such a lethargic waste of roster space as Candy is not something that sits well with Michiko, unsurprisingly. STATISTICAL INFORMATION
STRENGTH: 5 - Considering her small size, Candy is pretty damn strong.
SPEED: 7 - Although she's less of a flier than she used to be, she's still got some dexterity, and her reflexes are great.
TOUGHNESS: 5 - She's nothing special here.
INTELLIGENCE: 6 - Candy's not necessarily stupid, exactly, but she's not particularly smart either and she's got problems with concentration. She did poorly in school. On the other hand, she's very good indeed at reading opponents' motions and anticipating their moves, in fact finding it almost trivial. She's got very good ring awareness too.
CHARISMA: 4 - Among the many roles Candy has, she's a DVD commentator, and she's a decent one. However, she's much less comfortable speaking in front of live audiences, and her personality is far from magnetic.
STAMINA: 9 - Training is one of the very few things Candy actually enjoys, so she's in outstanding physical shape.
SPIRIT: E - HAHAHAHA NO. This would be an F, if not for the fact she sometimes gets insecure about people trashing her skills.
HONOR: B - She doesn't cheat and she'll shake hands or bow before a match, but she's not the type to rush to someone's defence unless they're a close friend.
MALEVOLENCE: D - She really has to be pushed hard to get malevolent, and even when she does, her idea of revenge is besting someone in a match.
TALENT: S - Candy's mentor, joshi legend Cannonball Kayama, called her the most naturally gifted wrestler she'd ever seen. Even if you take that as hyperbole, there's no denying that Candy has the tools to be a true great.
VIOLENCE: D - Again, she considers outwrestling someone the best revenge. While her strikes are stiff and her submissions are excruciating, she doesn't really do actual brutality.
POTENTIAL: OH BOY. If you believe those who call her one of the most gifted athletes of her generation, then S. If you believe those who think she's wasting a spot that could go to someone who actually gives a fuck, then F. In reality, probably somewhere in between? But it all depends on whether she ever actually decides to harness that talent.
WRESTLING INFORMATION
WRESTLING STYLE: Classic joshi technical (suplexes, submissions and kicks, with some amount of flying), skewing more defensive than aggressive.
MATCH TACTICS: Candy is a truly elite wrestling prodigy, with ring awareness, moveset depth and technique far beyond her years, and she's soaking up more knowledge all the time. She's an incredible counter-wrestler, preferring to fight reactively while letting her opponent be the aggressor, as she's outstanding at predicting her opponent's next move. She can get bored easily so she often likes to use quite unorthodox offence, to challenge herself and keep herself entertained during matches. That quirk aside however she's usually quite businesslike. She doesn't cheat, nor does she take shortcuts. On the flip side of that she doesn't particularly play to the crowd and she rarely feels the need to expend energy being flashy if there's a simpler option available. She rarely goes to the top rope, although she's got a mean suicide dive when she decides it's necessary. She used to fly more, and can still pull it out if she's pushed to it, but she's certainly moved away from it being a stock part of her offence over the years. It's usually not easy to rile her up or throw her off her game, mainly as she's usually not invested enough in her matches to care, but that same apathy can be taken advantage of by smart opponents. And apathy is really Candy's crippling weakness. She simply doesn't care. She only wrestles because she's got bills to pay and she's no good at anything else, so she's far from driven to win. She'll tap out readily, rarely goes high risk, and in general would rather lose a match than risk injury. She also doesn't usually prepare much for anything but the biggest matches; the time other wrestlers spend studying tapes of their opponents, she spends reading or playing videogames.
CHARACTER PERSONALITY: If there's one word that sums up Candy, it's apathetic. She has no ambition, no passions, and no investment in herself or anything else. For Candy, life is just a matter of whiling away the time until she dies. From the outside looking in, there's a tremendous sadness about Candy Mitsuyoshi - it's always heartbreaking to see someone who's given up on life, but especially in someone with so much potential for greatness. Whether or not she feels that sadness for herself... who knows? Maybe she's too far gone even to feel sorry for herself, or maybe she's hiding a great abyss of sorrow and bitterness inside herself. Either way, on the surface, all we see is a meek shrug, a quiet nod, and maybe a vacant smile. And yet, for all that she's not interested in applying her natural talent, Candy doesn't like it when other people make out that she doesn't have any. This might be something to do with the fact that Candy's job is basically the only thing she has going for her. She is an incredibly depressive person who can lose days at a time of her life to ennui if she's not careful. She's not particularly smart, not remotely sociable, has got a poor attention span, and is at times cripplingly introverted. In terms of her interactions with others, she tends to be polite, gracious and fairly conscientious, but also extremely quiet and shy, and she gets bored or distracted easily.
CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Natsumi suffers from severe depression and anxiety. Some friends and family have suggested she should get tested for ADHD too; somehow, she's always "too busy right now" despite her remarkable ability to spend days at a time alone in her apartment doing basically nothing. She prefers to stay out of conflict, both professional and personal. All she ever really wants to do is lose herself in training, wrestle her match, collect her paycheque, then go home and find some way to pass the time until she falls asleep. And she doesn't really want to do that either; it's just better than any of the alternatives she can see.
GIMMICK DESCRIPTION: Phenomenal raw potential which is currently being completely wasted. The passion Candy had for wrestling died long ago, and now it's just a job. She's aware she's unlikely to ever find a job she's better at, so she tries to at least do enough to stay employed (and she takes on other roles within the business, mainly for a bit of variety). But it is absolutely just a job. Wrestling was her childhood dream, yet now that she's actually doing it, it's really not much different to her than if she was working in a store or an office.

PRIMARY FINISHER: "Sparkling Crab" - Boston crab, with one foot pushing back against the opponent's head.
SECONDARY FINISHER: Go To Sleep (not on heavyweights!)
DESPERATION / FINAL FINISHER: There's another version of the Sparkling Crab, where she uses BOTH feet against them - basically, standing on the opponent's head while stretching their spine. This can quickly make opponents tap out, pass out or even throw up, but obviously it leaves Candy unbalanced and totally victim to the slightest external force, making a double edged sword, held back for those all-or-nothing situations.

Lights strobe around as the tension of the intro builds up and up, for about a minute, with the fans' anticipation mounting commensurately all the while and many of those in the front row drumming on the guardrail in time to the beat. That tension is finally released into a snarling guitar break and sneering vocals sarcastically proclaiming, "I wanna be your girlfriend, I wanna be your whore, I wanna be loved". Candy Mitsuyoshi steps out and looks around the venue, taking in the atmosphere. If she has any deep thoughts about what she sees, she keeps them to herself. She just raises a hand into the air - not quite clenched, not quite spread, just kind of there - and then flops it down and begins her walk to the ring.
Candy's eyes stay focused on the ring as she heads down the aisle, with the hand nearest the fans idly stretched out to let them slap it if they want. She herself makes no attempt to either tag them back or to pull her hand away. When she reaches the ring she climbs up straight up onto the apron and jumps over the top rope. After walking around a little bit in the ring, she hops up on the middle rope in the corner and leans out, raising that hand again for a moment. Then she drops it back down and just turns and jumps to the canvas with no further interactions. She heads into her corner to try to psyche herself up as best she can for the match to come, blanking everyone, even the referee who's patting her down for foreign objects.

BIOGRAPHY
As children, Natsumi Mitsuyoshi and her cousin Suzume were avid wrestling fans, wanting nothing more than to be pro wrestlers themselves, and they swore that one day they'd be one of the all time great tag teams. Plans change, though, and ambitions fade. Candy ended up attending Kansai Star Joshi Dojo before Suzume did despite being the younger of the two, and by the time Suzume got there, Candy's already dwindling passion for wrestling (and everything else) had all but gone. Feeling that Candy could be one of the absolute best in the world if only she applied herself, Kayama has repeatedly tried to push Candy, and pulled all the strings she has to give her opportunities - all of which Candy has meekly accepted and performed adequately in, displaying about as much passion for it as she does for brushing her teeth or buying groceries. This general disinterest in life defines Candy and has been the major factor in shaping her career. Early on, whenever Candy tried branching out, she rarely ended up lasting more than a few matches with any given company before either she quit or the company decided they didn't need her services. Her longest run came with Puroresu United, later Glory For Puro, as both a competitor and a producer; when GFP rebranded as New Kingdom Pro and relocated to Germany, Candy declined to join them and parted ways with the company. She's also a recurring face in the cult indie Garbage vs Pure, but has never been a full time roster member there. In recent years she's been quite firmly based in Kansai Star Pro, with just a few guest appearances in Garbage vs Pure, Pro Wrestling FRONTLINE and international tournaments to her name.
She has tried many things beyond in-ring competition in search of something that actually motivates her: training, commentary, production, scouting... she even fought in MMA for a little while. She's Kayama's assistant trainer at K*J, and was also a trainer for Lion's Den FC for a time. It's rumoured that Candy only continues competing to placate Kayama and would rather quit competition for good to to focus on backstage stuff, but that's not quite true; fighting is another of the many ways she passes the time, plus she actually quite enjoys training but knows she'd probably stop going to the gym if she wasn't wrestling, and she doesn't want that. It's a fair bet that Candy being in Arcadia PRO is another manoeuvre by Cannonball Kayama to draw some kind of reaction from her should-be star pupil.
Candy is reckoned to be the more talented of the Mitsuyoshi cousins, but Suzume works much harder and so has been far more successful. Candy doesn't mind this at all; she's just happy for Suzume.
