STATISTICAL INFORMATION
STRENGTH: 9 | since he was young, he’s worked hard to always be one of the strongest people in the room.
SPEED: 3 | he has never been the fastest guy in the ring, and his recently rehabbed injuries haven’t done that fact any favors.
TOUGHNESS: 8 | along with striving to be strong, he developed a toughness that allows him to shrug off injury and pain, though - as his recent time off has proven - that can be a weakness as much as a strength.
INTELLIGENCE: 4 | outside of the ring he has shown tremendous growth in terms of his intelligence, especially in the realm of business, but he has never had the Ring IQ of a strategist.
CHARISMA: 2 | while he has often become a fan favorite throughout his career, it’s generally through his wrestling and the things he accomplishes rather than charisma - he’s never been the most vocal, for instance.
STAMINA: 10 | perhaps the only thing in life he’s focused on more than physical strength is his conditioning, which has allowed him to remain in matches like Survive & Conquer for upwards of two hours.
SPIRIT: C | if ever there was a weak spot in Rex Evans, it has certainly been his spirit for a very long time. Years ago this grade might have been worse, as he's certainly begun repairing it, but his weak spirit has always put him at odds with himself and lead to his downfalls and tribulations in the past.
HONOR: S | even at the ugliest moments in the history of his career, Rex has always been one of the most honorable athletes in the game. He refuses to bend the rules let alone break them, and won't even use weapons when they're legal.
MALEVOLENCE: F | to say that Rex doesn't have an evil bone in his body would be a lie, and there is plenty of video evidence to support that, but he has shown a lot of personal growth over the past few years, and become more of a teddy bear - albeit a very violent one.
TALENT: B | one of the things that many people don't realize is that there is much more to Rex's in-ring ability than hitting things really hard. His MMA background helps to make him fairly well-rounded in the ring.
VIOLENCE: A | as briefly mentioned above, while he isn't outright evil, Rex can be quite violent in the ring - hence the nickname.
POTENTIAL: B - several years ago this letter grade likely would have been higher, but the wear and tear on his body is starting to catch up to him a bit.
WRESTLING INFORMATION
WRESTLING STYLE: At his core, the striker and the grappler in Rex Evans often jockey for position. He has pretty incredible knockout power behind his strikes, but he's also capable of impressive power moves. While certainly capable of some submission moves, no one would accuse Rex of being a technical wrestler, and he is the furthest thing from a high flyer.
MATCH TACTICS: Hit first, ask questions later. That has always been Rex's in-ring philosophy. He comes out of the gate hard and heavy, and will rarely ever let up. He knows outright striking won't be enough to put an opponent away, but he'll use it in the early goings to catch them off guard and chip away at them, before transitioning to power moves and grappling to really wear them down. Then he'll often switch back to striking in the end to put a worn down opponent away with ground and pound, knockout punches, or - of course - the spear. This formula obviously doesn't work every time, but he's totally capable of switching things up as well as slapping on a submission move to slow down a particularly speedy opponent. One thing he will never, ever do (aside from use weapons, of course) is anything considered high flying or daredevil. The only exception to that rule, if the past is any indication, is the use of a suicide dive variation of the Unstoppable when facing particularly heated rivals. An aside: oftentimes, unless wrestling a jobber or someone simply not ready to fight someone with his abilities, Rex will miss the spear when he sets it up in the corner but then hit it later in some surprising way that only the smarks could've seen coming.
CHARACTER PERSONALITY: While his exterior sometimes seems rough and gruff, getting past all that shows that Rex is really a caring and affable man who simply loves to fight. For the most part, when he's in the ring he's truly having fun, and outside of it he simply wants everyone else to succeed and have a good time, no matter what the setting.
CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Rex has been through a lot in his life, and it all added up to break him down to a rock bottom much lower than many experience in their lives. But that allowed him to start fresh and begin rebuilding. He still struggles with psychological demons, but for the most part he keeps them in check in favor of growing his business and caring for his family. When it comes to wrestling, one thing has never changed for him. He has always and, most likely, will always feel like he needs to prove himself. He projects it as if he needs to prove himself to everyone else, but really he is trying to prove some point to himself and those demons we mentioned. This can lead to him having tunnel vision and being stubborn to a fault, setting out on a made up crusade to correct some error or perceived slight.
GIMMICK DESCRIPTION: the beast with a code of honor that the fans love because of his brutality rather than in spite of it.

BIOGRAPHY

(More detailed biography to follow, but here’s a bit of information since retirement.)
Throughout his career, Rex suffered from numerous minor injuries and the obvious wear and tear of the sport, but rarely allowed himself the time or effort to correct those things. The day after winning the tag team championships with his brother, Rex’s difficulty walking - which he had been experiencing on and off since losing the Global Championship - suddenly became much worse.
Thankfully, Rex had something he’d never had before in a situation like this: Alexis Boyd, his girlfriend of several months. She finally got tired of seeing him in pain and forced him to visit a doctor, who told him he had allowed so many injuries to build up that if he didn’t stop wrestling... he might never walk again. So naturally, he stopped wrestling.
In the time since, Rex has been focusing more on his family and his company - including creating the hit streaming show Four for Evolve - but also spending a lot of time with the best doctors, physical therapists and trainers in the nation. With hard work and determination, Rex was able to rehab and heal the injuries he had sustained.
A bit slimmer and more self aware than his previous tenures in the business, Rex is back to climb the ladder of the industry from the bottom once again. And it all kicked off when he shocked the world by showing up at Phoenix Wrestling to win his way into representing USA in the 2018 World Cup of Wrestling. Now? He’s joining Arcadia PRO.[/font]
